Jorie Graham (geboren am 9. Mai 1950 in New York City), amerikanische Lyrikerin, "eine der gefeiertsten Dichter der amerikanischen Nachkriegsgeneration." [1]
Sie wuchs in Italien und Frankreich auf. An der Pariser Sorbonne studierte sie Philosophie und an der New York University Filmemachen. In dieser Zeit begann sie Gedichte zu schreiben, am Iowa Writer’s Workshop erwarb sie den MFA. Danach lehrte sie dort und ab 1999 an der Harvard University, wo sie als Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory berufen wurde als Nachflgerin des Literaturnobelpreisträgers Seamus Heaney. Sie war die erste Frau auf diesem traditionsreichen Posten. 1997 bis 2003 war sie Kanzlerin der Academy of American Poets.

Für ihr dichterisches Werk gewann u.a. den Pulitzerpreis (1996), Whiting Writers' Award, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Fellowship, Ingram Merrill Fellowship und den britischen Forward Award (2013).
